That's a wrap on the spring

Ava scores first goal in win against Elm Grove SC

The U12 Girls beat Elm Grove SC 2-0. Ava scored on a give-and-go with Maya in the first half. The second goal came from a cross by Jess that went in off an Elm Grove defender.

Ella earned a clean sheet as the goalkeeper. The team made a tunnel for the U8s coming off the next field after the game.

Sam ties it late in season finale

The U10 Boys played a competitive match against Fox Hollow FC, ending in a 2-2 draw. The game went back and forth, with Sam scoring an equalizer with a low shot near the end. Jonah played every minute in goal for the first time, showing great focus.

After the handshake line, parents celebrated with a water balloon fight as the team wrapped up the season.

U13 Boys fall just short against Harwich Valley

Harwich Valley scored twice in the first half and held on to win 2-1. Eli pulled one back from a corner early in the second, and the U13 Boys had most of the ball from there without finding a second.

Ben made seven saves.

Coach Rich called the second half the best thirty minutes of the spring.

Spotlight

Coach Beth Carlson

U12 Girls head coach

Q: What stood out this spring? A: Ella deciding she was a goalkeeper. She asked in April, and by June she was organizing the whole back line. Nobody told her to do that. Q: A moment you will keep? A: Nora's first goal, with her grandmother on the sideline. I have coached a long time and that still gets me. Q: What are you working on for the fall? A: Corners. We scored off two this spring and gave up three. Q: Advice for parents over the summer? A: Let them play something else. Come back in August bored of the beach.

“Come back in August bored of the beach.”
