Spotlight

Coach Rich Donnelly

U13 Boys head coach

Q: The U13s move to the full-size field this fall. What changes? A: Everything is farther away. The goal, the ball, their teammates. The first few games will be about not running out of legs by halftime. Q: How did you spend the summer? A: Ran a two-week camp in July with Coach Beth, eighteen kids. Mostly small games, mostly trying to stay out of the sun. Q: What should parents expect? A: Scores that do not mean much until October. The field is new, half the opponents are a year older, and that is fine. Q: One thing you are looking forward to? A: Ben in goal on a full-size net. He asked for it.

“Everything is farther away.”

We need two more volunteer referees

No experience needed. The state association runs a free four-hour course on August 22. Our referees work U9 and U10 games only.

Did You Know?

Shoreline Town Fields were the Hollis dairy farm until 1996. The pavilion was the milking barn, and the slope on Field 3 is where the pond was filled in.
